Autonomous Border Surveillance
H2: Autonomous Border Surveillance
Subhead: 12-hour endurance drones with auto-relief deliver uninterrupted aerial coverage, fused with long-range radar towers, multi-sensor PTZ cameras, and a secure C2I command center.
How it Works (3 steps)
Detect & Cue: 3D AESA radar (up to 60 km instrumented) flags targets; C2I auto-cues PTZ cameras and the nearest patrol drone.
Track & Verify: Drone provides thermal/EO video; ARC PTZ supports ZLID illumination (≤6 km) and LRF to 38 km; operators view on high-res command desks and mark evidence.
Autonomous Relief: Before battery reaches ~15%, the next UAV launches, overlaps the track, and assumes the mission—zero coverage gaps—while the first UAV returns to base.
Core Components
Long-Endurance UAVs (12 h): geofenced routes, overlapping hand-offs, secure telemetry, EO/IR gimbals.
AESA Radar Towers (BWCA-X10): pedestrian 21 km, small boat 28 km, light vehicle 30 km, truck 45 km, large ship 50 km, light aircraft 35 km, low-level helicopter 40 km, UAV 17 km; 120° phased (optional 360°).
Ultra Long-Range PTZ Cameras (ARC series): ZLID ≤6 km, LRF ≤38 km, radar slew-to-cue, GPS telemetry, ruggedized/military connectors.
C2I Command Center: interactive 2D/3D map, MIL-STD-2525 symbology, alert zones, weather, VoIP/video; Windows 11 IoT desks with Core i9, RTX 4060, multi-touch displays, and 3-axis joystick control.
Operating Concept
Sectorization: Define 100 km surveillance sectors; each sector has fixed towers and a drone patrol loop.
Duty Cycle: UAVs fly 12-hour legs; staggered launch times provide 24/7 persistence with built-in redundancy.
Data Flow: Radar → C2I → PTZ/Drone slew-to-cue; all streams recorded with time/geo stamps for chain-of-custody.
Staffing Efficiency: One operator can supervise multiple sectors via multi-desk, multi-site logins.
Why It Works
No blind spots: Automated hand-offs and 360° (optional) radar coverage prevent gaps.
Actionable ID: Thermal/EO video, ZLID, and long-range LRF support rapid classification and evidence.
Scalable & Open: Add towers/UAVs as needed; standard 1 GbE / optical fiber backhaul; 10 Gbps radar feeds supported.
